3,000 rpm - starting to feel the power
94 push button start?
Hello - in my '94 I have a push button in one of the empty switch panels on the dash to the left of my steering wheel, it operated an auxiliary horn.
What are the chances I can use this as a push button start? Anybody know which wires I'd hook up to or anything like this?
couldn't find a diy thread :\ lol thanks

I believe that is the location that the Zoom starter button uses. There are at least a couple of forum sponsors that carry the item. This pic may give you an idea of what would be involved:

hmm, a three-wire button is pretty easy to hook up... but all those other wires in the plugs pictured, i'm not sure what they do.
I am hoping for someone to give me the wire colors for the starter in the steering column so that i can just cut the wire that the key activates when i turn it over and wire it to the button for activation instead.
Like a "turn the key to 'on', then push the button" start... not a keyless pushbutton.

Check out revlimiter's page, it might be of some help.

4,000 rpm - entering the fun zone
I really don't understand the appeal of this mod. If you have to turn the key to ON then why bother with a push button?

3,000 rpm - starting to feel the power
Looks mighty complicated... Hmmm
*Scratches head*
Perhaps I can steal the button from Kyle_L's recently thrashed s2k...
Thanks for the link and info
