Friend is selling his NA and only had them on for 1 month so jumped on them.

I was considering Tein Flex Z as new DFV's would have been outta budget for me. Had also considered Tein Monosports too, but friend of mine has them on his NA and says the 10kg/8kg F/R spring rate is a bit too harsh for him for daily driving. I drove it and though I didn't feel it was that bad, I only drove his car for about 30 minutes. He drives it everyday so I took his word for it. In certain parts of Sydney, we have some pretty crap roads. The Flex Z and DFV have softer spring rates than the monosport which IMO will make the ride more compliant and comfortable

For what it is worth, in my limited knowledge/experience of such things, that sounds more like a valving issue rather than spring rate. I currently have FEAL's 441 Road Racing coilovers with 12k/8k(662lbs/448lbs) rates and while firm they are not harsh, imo, and I previously had custom Fat Cat Motorsports 2040 coilovers with 375lbs/325lbs that was a VERY excellent ride quality, imo, to compare to.

You saved me the research that I was destined to do tonight. Wanted to see what rates you got. Had thought about dropping to 10/7s but with my arse on bumpstops now with the Tokicos 12/8s will be an improvement with some travel in the raised top-hats.

    Thanks, Bro-in-Name

Fair point I mean, I drove my friends NA with the monosports 10/8 spring rates and again, i felt like they were fine. However, even he said if he were to do it again, he'd prob get something else as its a bit too harsh for him. But everyones different which is what makes this forum great.

Ill try it out and if I feel like it's not for me, I figured I can sell it off pretty quickly. Plus, only heard good things about ohlins from everyone who has owned them, miata or otherwise
