Dash dropped off to the interior guy for stripping and repainting

Very nice guy, thanks Hanmerhead for the referral. He is gonna use a water based stripper which is what I wanted. And the prime and paint the top section of the dash in the matte black again.

A great majority goes for doing some foamoctomy to lower the seats, but not for my wife. She needed higher and forward beyond what the rail locks allow.
Took out the seat and noticed that the rails did allow farther forward beyond the locking mechanism. This locking mechanism consists of four fingers that engage slots in the lower rail. In this case, I had to open 2 more slots in each rail, and now she can reach to the bottom of the clutch pedal wearing thin soled shoes.
As for the hight, not much more height needed, so I got from Ace Hardware longer bolts to connect the rail to the seat and using three nylon washers under each bolt in the front and to washers in the back it is now a perfect fit for her. As for me, the higher position didn't bother me at all.

Careful with the primer, it will load up the texture.

I have repaired a crack which required removing the texture and it looked sweet….matched the gauge cover perfectly.
Fixing to smooth another one real soon.

Colin and I installed urethane exhaust hangars on my car today. Hoping this will keep the tips from rattling around in the cutouts.

The added hangar on the left side is much bigger than the OEM ones. We used a lot of lube and I jammed it in the hole. That was very uncomfortable to do with my son watching

Say hello to more NVH though, makes my car sound like it has an aftermarket exhaust with the stock one! However the car's suspension will almost compress before the exhaust moves from pushing it down with my foot, so it will definitely keep it from moving around lol.

I gave Noir the soapy treatment. She's squeaky now.

Hey, Randy. Can you get the dirty avatar out and post this one up for me? I do groom Noir.

Installed a rear bumper in much better condition than mine.

Also installed a Na6 driver's cloth seat, and boy, is it huge! I sit almost 2 inches higher than with my previous seats, my knees are squeezed between the handbrake and the 360mm Nardi wheel, and my head rubs against the roof. Some serious foamectomy needed.

Picked up one of my favorite J-tuner items, the Zoom Fuel lid.

Now I just need to pick up an NA to bolt it to!

Not to worry. My guy, Scott, works on cars (and planes) far more complicated and expensive than ours.

Another easy and practically free modification that I have been meaning to do to the OEM front/rear side markers and front turn signals.....shaving the lettering! Here they are in there OEM state:

I first used 500 grit, then 1000 grit, then 1500 grit and finally 2000 grit sand paper....all being done wet sanding. Then I used polishing compound and finally carnauba wax to obtain the following results:

Took about 2 hours from start to finish.
