What did you get for your NA 2014?

Nothing too special, just gear oil.
I currently have Royal Purple Synchromax in my transmission, and I'm not digging it. Shifts a slightly notchy, and could be a bit smoother. I've heard good things about the Red Line MT-90. Even though it's meant for more aggressive driving, I feel it will still give me an improvement over the terrible Synchromax.

A post to show it's not all wine and roses collecting cool parts. I received this dash and some door cards from England today. Just about everything is broken. The quest for red continues...

Have you thought about trying to use SEM interior dyes? I've been thinking about that myself if I ever decided to go for the 93LE red as it may be a far more cost effective way to get the look since black and tan pieces are far easier to come by in great shape.

Ugh, and I'd like to post in this thread, but nearly every time I get goodies for my Miata I'm too giddy to get them on the car before I take any pictures of them. Even if I have to do extra work to get them into shape before installing. I so should have taken pictures of the wood handbrake I recently got as I refinished it.

No I hadn't. I thought dye was only for leather. If SEM dye worked on vinyl surely it would be paint, and just called dye. My seats are black cloth, there'll be no dyeing them.

I had thought about painting interior parts though. I'd use:

On hard plastics like the glove box door, I'd plastic prime and paint in colour matched 2K
On vinyl like the door cards, I'd use colour matched DuPont vinyl paint. This can be mixed by a paint supplier with a DuPont automotive tinting system. I've got a MOMO wheel I painted pastel blue by this method many years ago and its held up perfectly. Feels like vinyl though.

Keeping on thread, I got these bits today. Shin-Etsu grease to lube the door window channels. Evidently it's the best.
And Mazda Tribute washer jets. These produce a spray mist pattern instead of the two jets of water that come from conventional jets.

Large box turned up at work today.

Q is very excited and all the roadsters came out to look.

Three pieces inside and straight away you can see that i was a bit early for the GV Nostalgic Tails group buy. I was impressed with the new GV brochure that was included. Very glossy except the NB Nostalgic Tails page. A photocopy added later.

Next is an Alterna trunk lid. It is quite concave.

I didnt take any more photos of it because i was so excited by...

    Pit Crew Racing

Pit crew all of the things!

Malibu Q, those are some awesome parts. Once they're installed you're going to have an amazing roadster. I'm super excited to see that bumper installed.

Very nice large package "Q", and its good that nothing in it was broken, do you think that the red dash can be repaired?
Also what is that yellow car inside the garage with the number 59 on it?? Pictures of it please.

It's like Christmas down under!!!! What a great set of parts right there. Not only do you have a rare "Malibu Edition" spec car now, looks like you will soon have a super rare, if not 1 of 1 "Pit Crew Malibu". Loved your car before, cause it was awesome... this makes it AWESOMER!!!!

The front is used and there is a few cracks around where it was moulded in. Should be an easy fix though. Here is my front in the YJ advert.

I dont plan on fitting these parts on anytime soon though. Id like to complete my red 93LE/S-Limited interior first.

The black top has a ten inch long crack in it and the left gauge cluster mount is broken off. The red lower plastic is okay, maybe i could cut the top off a black dash and graft two together where the color breaks.

Car 59 is a 1976 Triumph Dolomite Sprint. No photos today

Yeah, since the dash is already broken, you should do some experimentation on it!! Keep us updated..........

Love the carpet console fwdtamiya. Particularly the shift boot which looks like an original and a perfect match for the standard momo. That momo came as original fitment on my car and I've never considered them a big deal. But I should imagine if I lived in the US with those four spoke airbag wheels as stock, that momo is the dope!
