Coolant reroute on a California car?

To those who live in Cali, what coolant reroute you guys use? I have been reading on this topic and so far I see that M-tuned coolant reroute is the only one that would work without deleting the EGR tube. But Begi says they can make their's work too. Can you guys post some pics of your reroute please? thanks in advance.

M tuned was the kit I saw most living out there. I like BEGI, but I have concerns about their products' fit and construction.

The one made by Bell Engineering but the kit is not EGR compatible. The reason I like their design is that the hose is routed on the intake side. I have a JRSC M45 so there is so much clutter on the exhaust side already.

search for a guy named skou and his coolant concept. It is awesome!!!

As for coolant reroutes. Alex (Speedworks) and I are designing a coldside reroute, you should look at his build thread

Talk to Moti at Blackbird Fabworx. He did my coolant reroute when he installed my FFS supercharger. It routes around the hot side, but clears everything in the car and works with the heater. Awesome fab job.

I also have a hot side reroute, but I am working on a new coldsite reroute concept for my new engine build. Here are pics of the hot side coolant reroute in my album page http://mazdaroadster.net/album.php?albumid=103&page=2

Why is I am seeing some pics of the M-tuned reroute kit plumb over the intake/cold side with one long single rubber tube? I am getting confused. Anyhow thanks for the pics and thoughts guys. I just emailed Gary at TDR to clear this out.

Check out RevLimiter's blog. He has the cold side reroute and uses a long Cadillac Escalade hose.

I did it's his car that got my attention on this thing. But he uses the BEGI set-up. I can't as it does not support the use of the EGR pipe coz' the way the pipe is located over the coolant cover thus with the extension piece that comes from BEGI the pipe needs to be re bent/extended to work. I can't eliminate the EGR either coz' I live in Cali and they already giving me hell on my JRSC which is in fact OBD compliant. I can only smog in a "Star Rated" center, they specify that on my DMV registration renewal letter lol. Then the stupid tech would take pics of my set up in different location and yes he does look at that header location carefully to see if the EGR tube is connected.

Any how TDR just confirmed with me that the M-tuned kit's tube they sell runs over the intake side. So I guess the M-tuned kit can run either side just depends on who sells them. As we all know the Miata specific parts for M-tuned kit can be purchased separately for those this who are DIY. But the price difference/saving is not great + the hassle of running around for parts.

Does your car have the supercharger on the exhaust side above the exhaust header? Where is your build thread??

The SC is on the hot/exhaust side. Ha lol no build thread I am not sure what to call it. I will come up with something in a few days. Just collecting all the necessary parts to come in so I can put the carbon the wheels and have it resprayed.
