    Re Amemiya steering wheel?

I was browsing for miata parts this evening, and came across what seems to be a used Re Amemiya steering wheel at one of the local importers. I emailed them for more pics, and to ask for a price/details on it. I'm curious if these actually exist, a quick Google search seems to indicate they do. I'm going to upload a photo in a bit!

What would one pay for this if it happens to be authentic?

Prices are all over the place for used stuff... I paid a hundred bucks years ago for a Nardi from an s-special roadster, I've seen new Nardi wheels listed for 300+ , in the thousands for vintage Porsche/Ferrari stuff. I know that wheel manufacturers do special editions, logos for aftermarket companies sometimes. I'm just wondering if this is a particularly rare or desirable wheel. I'm probably going to lowball the guys honestly, but if it's worth pursuing, I'll pay more.

Last few used ones in good condition have sold for $250 ~ $350

New old stock ones have sold for $400 to $600.

This is for that D-cut version only. I've not been tracking the others.

D cut wheels tend to be more expensive than the rest. They look nicer too in the Roadster due to the additional clearance which is a plus.

Ok, I feel like I need the d-cut, and I just happen to love that design. I'm kind of hoping the leather is wonky so I have an excuse to have it restitched to match my interior. I'm hoping to pick up a personal fitipaldi, and a sparco d cut this weekend as well, they aren't in the greatest shape and their price reflects that, but again that gives me a reason for personalization !

They didn't respond to my email, that's nice of them. I tried calling today but I think they closed early. I'll call in the morning during cars and coffee tomorrow and see if they answer

Talked to them this morning. Asking 250 for the wheel with an fd rx7 hub and hoshino horn button. I'm going to look at it Tuesday morning after work. I seem to remember the rx7 hubs fit our cars, but I may be completely incorrect... A Google search didn't turn up any results. I'm hoping I can use the rx7 hub and order an airbag defeat harness, but I guess I could always just sell of the rx7 hub if it doesn't work. I'd like to pay closer to 200 for it honestly

Randy is on the money. Looks to be in decent condition still. A correct horn button will run you another $70 or so (depending on condition/color) if I remember correctly.

Picked the above wheels up today for a steal! The fittipaldi really needs to be recovered, and the sparco has some wear but isn't hateful. I do really like the d-cut style of wheel, so I'll still be picking up the re amemiya wheel on Tuesday morning assuming it is in fact in decent shape. I'll probably throw these two up for sale in the near future, though I need to do some more research on the fittipaldi, it seems very old to me.

IIRC only the 1st gen RX7 hub is compatible with 1st gen NA

Ah ok, so the fd hub is useless to me then I managed to clean the sparco wheel up this morning with some carpet cleaner and about six microfiber rags. Whatever than gunk was came right off with some elbow grease, and it's a beautiful wheel underneath!. I'm going to talk to my upholstery guy about the fittipaldi today and see what he'll charge to do it for me. I think I may be becoming a steering wheel wore lol
