Just double checking your picture from earlier... (and actually - my bad on the math, I keep on forgetting a factor of 2) if 15x8+36 is relatively flush for you at your current height. Then your "equivalents" would be...

    15x7.5 +30
    15x7.0 +23
    15x6.5 +17
    15x6.0 +11

So my earlier comment... should actually be... 15x7 +20 is equivalent to 15x8 +33

Edit: And damnit greasemonkey...you make me want to get 225s. I'll probably be content with some meaty 205's though on my 15x8 +25. Currently on BF GFSComp2 195's... only ones available at the time.

so the 20s should come close,

The 205s would be compressed on 7s, Sounds like 195s would be a better fit ? The also sound small.

I run 205's on 6.5" wheels, you cannot really see if they compress or not.

How are the Comp 2s ? Noisy ? Crisp turn in ?

They're not too bad. I'm probably not the best person to ask about turn-in feel etc. I'd say S-drives were quieter, but grip is solid - for this tire.

By way of comparison then, I had s drives a few years ago, felt like mush with little steering input feel (to me).
I have 888s now and enjoy the feel.
How do the 2 compare ?

Ah. I see. There's definitely a big gap between those two tires if I'm not mistaken. 888s are essentially track tire. Sport comps are rated 340...while the 888s are rated 100 (UTQG). If you like the feel of 888s I'd probably recommend sticking to tires rated at <200... Maybe RE-11's?

RE11A's get great reviews. Yoke AD08R's are very good as well.

I like the 8s for their stiff side walls, getting a little tired of the noise after 3 years. I had Pilots and thought the world of them for feedback. I don't think it is so much the wear rating as it is the stiffness of the side walls that makes for a good feedback tire.

So, a tire with good turn in feedback and a quiet ride will work.
    Your recommendations please.

    INTERESTING!!

So if I install the rear subframe from NA miata into NB the rear tires would need a lot negative offset to compensate the gap between the fenders and wheels. That will look really cool in a NB miata in my point of view.

I think it is more than the frame and you will only get a half inch per side from this. The wider stance includes the hubs from the nb. But yea just swap the entire assembly from a 95-97 and you are there.

Ah agreed. It's just generally the wear rating are tied decently to the type of feel since they're targeting a specific market. You're generally not looking at a <200 rating for comfort. I'd recommend the RE-11 ...my friend's s2k rides on them and...I'll just say they're nice
