PHOTO Submissions February 2012 (Miata of the Month)

We will be accepting entries until February 19th, 2012 at Midnight!


Here are the rules for "Miata of the Month" submissions.

Myself or one of the forum Moderators will update this thread with more rules if there are any we forgot.

1. There will be a total of 1 winner picked every month.
2. To keep it fair we will pick the color choice and/or theme for each month
(This way we dont get 12 months of the same color cars, etc.
3. Picture requirements (4): 1 exterior, 1 interior, 1 engine, +1 Random (You Pick)
(No More, No Less) NO WATER MARKED/STAMPED PHOTOS, only Originals!!!
4. If you are not good with a camera find someone that is, as long as the car is yours!
5. If you win I will need your real name to give to the vendor.
6. Only YOUR Personal Mazda Miata MX-5 Roadster's can be entered! (don't enter your friends, they can do that if they wish)
7. The car can be stock, street modded, or your race prepped car, does not matter, we are looking for great photos first and foremost! Period!
8. Previous MOTM winners cannot enter again for at least 18 months.
9. I will create a separate thread in which members will vote for the best photos each month, and the winning cars will be entered for the submissions part of our 12 Month Calendar. (That part is still voted on)
10. DO NOT post personal comments about the cars posted unless you are the owner giving details.
THIS IS A PHOTO THREAD ONLY !! (We will create a discussion thread for that)
(Any outside reply/comments made by non-contestants will get deleted as per the rules!)
11. "Shop/Sponsor Cars" are not eligible to win! Sorry! Example; Rspeed's Car, Revlimiter's, or Project-G's Car cannot submit their business/shop cars.
(Members only please), Moderators can submit photos as well, as they are considered members!
The community will vote on the cars once all submissions are in!
12. Winners outside the Continental USA "may" be subject to overseas shipping if they win.
13. Photos must be of YOUR current Miata, currently running, not currently for sale, or sold off, or getting parted out, and you must use recent photos! Do not post the Miata you had last year before you sold it, or before you wrecked it. If we find out you are cheating you will get disqualified.

A. The winner will receive $100 USD for use as a Store Credit from this months sponsoring vendor

Thanks, I appreciate that. I put the photos on Flickr but it didn't work. I need to study up and practice how to do this.

If you have a flickr account all you have to do is use the image "IMG" tags on the link like below but instead of using " " use these [ ]. Find the image you want to use on Flickr, then right click and use the size that says medium and copy/paste that link and use the image tags like I used below.


I'm using a small thumbnail as an example

If you are still having problems just PM links to your photos on flickr and I can edit your original post for you.

What I do on Flikr is just go to the picture, then hit "Share" and hit "Grab the HTML/BBCode" then hit the "BBCode" button at the bottom of the box, then hit "Large" then copy the whole thing and paste in the post box.
Example (using medium size) :

If you dont want the "by (name), on Flikr" then just copy the link that is in the [IMG] brackets and discard everything else. The first one with the name will be clickable and will lead to your Flikr page and the second will not.

White Miata power! Wait…that sounds bad. Pictures are by a lousy camera with an orangutan operating it.









I've had this car for going on four years now. Started out bone stock and has since slowly grown into what you see here.
The car came with a Torsen diff. and a hardtop, power windows, cruise and A/C.
As far as what I've done to it so far goes a little something like this.

Exterior:
Hella e-codes with Hella Xenon super white bulbs.
Dcuatro headlight intake.
JDM front turn signals.
Rennenmetal tow hooks painted olive green.
All lights (tail lights, side markers, turn signals) have had all the raised lettering sanded off and polished.
Garage Vary hardtop rain rails from Tetsuya Garage.
OEM front and rear mud guards.
OEM front lip from RSpeed.
Eunos nose and finish panel badges.
Garage Star front plate mounting bracket.

Interior:
Tan leather seats from a different car.
Brainstorm Eng. tan leather shift and handbrake boots.
Aerodramatics door handles and locks.
RS Products MG style gauges with Aerodramatics needle caps.
S-Limited Nardi steering wheel with polished mounting bolts and a horn button from a Nardi Classic.
Fidanza short shift kit from Goodwin Racing with an angled shift extender and a Zoom Engineering polished shift knob.
Alpine stereo and speakers.

Chassis/Handling and Brake bits:
Hard Dog Hard Core single diagonal roll bar with HDF padding and a leather cover.
Tein Basics from 949 Racing with 7kg front and 5kg rear springs, Fat Cat Motorsports bushings and NB top hats. (Current ride height is at 12.25" and 12.5")
949 Racing subframe braces.
949 Stainless brake lines.
Axxis/PBR ULT brake pads from Goodwin Racing.
ATE Super Blue brake fluid from RSpeed.
Old, battered Work Ewing III's, 15x6.5 et26 in front and 15x7 et28 out back shod with Falken RT-615's and held on by black 949 Racing lug nuts.

Engine and Go Fast bits:
Borla stainless cat-back exhaust.
Racing beat intake from Goodwin Racing.
Koyo 37mm radiator from Goodwin Racing.
Garage Star radiator cooling panel from uh, I'll let you figure that one out.
Purple spark plug wire from RSpeed with Bosch spark plugs.
