During my trip in Japan, I saw an unreleased item by Nielex and asked them if they would like to offer it to the public. The Shorty Console was first made because the Nielex president wanted to show the beautiful look of their Joystick but also because he did not like the look of rubber shift boot. At first, they said it was a one-off item and there would be no need to work on it. But I basically convinced them to give it a shot, but we need at least 5 orders to make it happen.
Basically, it is a very nice minimalistic shorty console made of aluminum thats anodized black and comes with a polished ring that looks awesome. Power windows equipped vehicles can get the optional relocating plate in 2DIN version. Below is one picture of the item, more pictures are included in bottom of post link:
