Red face Ahhh.. Back in a Roadster!

I purchased my new/used 2010 Miata yesterday. My test drive was the first time I had ever been inside of one, let alone driven one. It was so wonderful to be back in a real two-seater sports car! I have owned ragtops for years, including 2nd and 4th generation Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyders. My past roadster experience was in a 1995 Mercury Capri (remember them?) and a 2004 Porsche Boxster. I had to give up my Boxster after a divorce several years ago and was back in an Eclipse Spyder. It just wasn't the same.

I am so impressed with the Miata--it has that wonderful sports car road feel and surprising peppiness. Unfortunately, as these things usually do, I didn't get out of the dealership until last evening so while I did get to drive it to the airport to pick someone up, I didn't get to drive it as much as I would have liked to. I live in Albuquerque and am chomping at the bit to take out on some mountain twisties. Alas, I'm going to have to wait. The car, of course, is not equipped with snow tires and we are having the first "major" snow of this year as I write. Forecast is for snow and/or snow showers for the next 2 days. Sigh. I am considering getting a set of snows for her but I really thought I'd have a little more time to do that...

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello to you all. I am sure I will have questions as I become acquainted with my new car.

Needs to say Loony Land but this works.

I too had a 2000 Boxster S. However, it had to be sold so I could pay for school.I feel you on loosing the Porsche. I knew I needed another roadster but could be a commuter car at the same time, so the miata was perfect for me. To the P.O., your gonna love this car, it's dirt cheap on maintenance and you can find parts everywhere. Check out FlyinMiata they got a cool package for the 3rd gen. Anyways welcome.
