wow, the best I can seem to do is 90 on a 1/4 tank. Though, most of that is 70-75 on the freeway. The recent alignment seems to have helped, as the installation of freshly rebuilt front calipers. SOCAL isn't all that flat though.

Well 100 miles of my daily trip is on the highway, now at 70mph. The other 12 miles daily are in town. At any rate, with a combination of slow acceleration, pulse & glide, and simple coasting, I'm now roughly a needle's width past the 1/4 tank mark and sitting at 193.2 miles on the clock.

This morning I discovered that the Rotten Banana has a bad axle. I spent a good part of the day trying to source an axle but had no luck. It appears that none of the parts stores can locate a remand one anywhere in the country, and the computers would not even let them order one. I found a junk yard with one, but it is 90 minutes away and closes at 5:30 every day, so no chance of getting there after work. I also pulled the windshield wiper arms and cleaned them up with soap and water and a scotch pad. They will get a fresh coat of paint tomorrow.
