    I added some weight to the car, but all of it is in aerodynamic bits of bodywork.
    Lap times are faster.

    Actually, this is pretty legit for losing weight. Not for all you weirdos who are DDing these stripped out cars, but I run my STS Miata as close to E as I can get it. A full tanks adds about 70 lbs and even on E, I've never had any starvation issues on course. FWIW, a local guy I run with has 91 pretty much full prepped for STS, so full interior and a soft top and his his competition weight is 1985 lbs.
