Well, he wasn't the smartest of the bunch now was he. You saw how he was feeding the fuel to begin with anyways. The Jodi Arias fuel jug was right next to the fire. Damn fire followed him everywhere like a begging dog.

    Now I really feel bad.

And I didn't mean to sound like I was really putting down on him, I was commenting more on how people in general react to these situations.

I sorry, that is one dumb ass. Fuel Fire = RUN. Blowing it won't make it go out and grabbing the gas can at the last minute was very stupid on his part. He made it worse by panicking and spilled more fuel and ended up burning him. Get out as fast as possible. Have a fire extinguisher ready at all times. I keep one within 10 feet working space. Easy to get to. I keep one near me when I change the brake on the Spec Miata. You really don't know when I fire will start. I have five placed around the shop. I keep two on each side of the two lift, one at the roll up door, one in the small office area, and a extra by the compressor. I keep two small ones hung on the side of my roll around tool box/pit box.

Man, that sucks ass. He most definitely should have had fire suppression close by, though. Especially on a carburated engine. This just goes to show you, it can happen to anyone (it has happened to me) and you always have to be prepared for the worst. Hopefully the engine is salvageable, but now he's gonna need all new engine wiring, and rubber/plastic bits/et c. pain in the ass.

The saddest part is that I'm not sure that it's totally sunk in just how many things wrong he did and how all of it was preventable.
